Our Projects

In Your Corner has several projects in London and these are all free for young people to access. You can learn more about each project, and how to refer a young person, below.

Our FIGHT CONNECT project continues in partnership with Rathbone ABC.
Our next group launches at Camden Boxing Club (Kentish Town Road, NW1 8NX) on Thursday 29 September 2022.

If you’re feeling stressed, worried, angry, down, or find yourself falling out with people or getting into trouble, then this group is for you!

This is an exciting project for local young people aged 12-15, who would like to improve their emotional wellbeing. We meet every week on a Thursday, 4.45 - 6.15pm, for 12 weeks!

We will prioritise places for young people who have a keyworker in a local service (e.g. a mentor; a social worker; or a worker from a family service; CAMHS; YOS; or a worker at school).

If you live in or close to Westminster, and can get to the gym, then get in touch and join us. Contact us if you would like to take part.

Our CONNECT project is in partnership with London Community Boxing based in their gym in Peckham Rye.

This is our largest project and we’re proud that this has been running since 2017, with a proven track record of positive impact. This is a community project for young people aged 12-15. We focus on young people who live in Southwark and who have a worker from a targeted service in Southwark, such as: CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services), The Nest, Children’s Services (e.g. Family Early Help, Social Work) Youth Offending, or mentoring.

We run 12-week starter groups, on a Tuesday after school during term time.

We also run a successful Graduates Group for graduates of our starter groups, which run all year round on a Thursday after school , in term time.

This has opportunities to gain educational units in boxing, and leadership opportunities such as becoming a project ambassador or a young coach. Boxers from CONNECT can also join the amateur boxing club at London Community Boxing and work towards competing.

We have a partnership with Hackney Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) for young people aged 13-17 who are experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties.

This group is available to young people who have been referred to the Hackney CAMHS service.

Schools Partnerships

In Your Corner also works in partnership with several schools, offering bespoke projects to support mental health and emotional wellbeing in schools.

Our work with secondary schools focuses on Key Stage 3 and 4, and in primary schools focuses on Years 5 and 6. We also offer groups for school staff supporting staff wellbeing and incorporating group reflective practice.
